CO-OP

Simone Longpre is the Kinesiology Co-Op Coordinator and she is heading up this new program to enhance YOUR KIN career education and development! This is a program designed to give you valuable PAID work experience in an KIN-related field while you complete your studies in Kinesiology

Have you heard about the KIN Co-op Program?

KIN co-op students incorporate the practical with the theoretical by completing 8 academic terms and up to 5 work terms over a 5 year period. Co-op students have the opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom in real-life work experiences that build job-ready skills and contact with professionals in the field. Students earn while they learn and gain valuable work experience in a variety of kinesiology related work sectors with each work term acting as a stepping stone for students to explore and refine their career goals.

Applications for the Co-op Program are accepted every fall in the first three weeks of the term. The application period for 2012 has passed. KIN students become eligible to apply to the Co-op Program in the fall of their second year of study, however, students entering their third year of study are also welcome to apply.  Please stay tuned for the 2013-cycle application deadline!

If you’d like to learn more about the Co-op Program please visit the KIN Co-op website at www.hkincoop.educ.ubc.ca and click on Prospective Students.
